The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Los Angeles (JACCC) preserves and promotes Japanese American heritage and encourages understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture in the U.S. The JACCC presents visual and performing arts from Japan and provides community programs and workshops to preserve Japanese American heritage. At the Center newsletter is published three to four times a year. Other events include Oshogatsu (1st Sunday in January); Hinamatsuri (Sunday nearest 3/3); Children's Day (1st Saturday and Sunday in May); and Obon (June). Annual memberships vary from $25-$250.
